- A pronoun? Do they get paid a lot?
- Uh, no. A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun. You need to be clear which noun you are replacing or you won't make any sense.
- The noun the pronoun replaces is called the "antecedent." And the pronoun and antecedent must match up.
