- The Atomic Theory was created by a british chemist named John Dalton. Three important facts for The atomic theory is every substance is made up of atoms in certain ways. Atoms can not be created,divided or destroyed.

- Early ideas- all atoms of a certain element are identical. Current- the atoms are the basic units of matter and the of each element are unique.
- The toms look like a ball of clay with little circles around it that are a different color.
