- back in 1885 a man by the name of George H Rawlings invented the baseball glove company by the name of rawings. baseball wasn't very know back in the day. the gloves were 1$ each and made of real leather.
- in 1886 the founded of rawlings was shot and killed in a robbery the owners son Liam took over but he was almost forced to shut down his business due to low sales because baseball wasn't popular in 1886 and no one needed a glove. before gloves became a thing people would use their bare hands which led to many broken hands bones and fingers

- In 1985 rawlings became the official glove company on Major League Baseball. Rawlings was the first ever glove company to sign such a massive deal. rawlings got a 5 million dollar bonus for singing the deal almost every player used the glove when they played
- in 1985 Rawlings was the most famous baseball glove company in the world. they had 3 different shops scattered throughout St Louis each factory had about 400 people working on hundreds of gloves every day this was by far. this motivated them to start making wooden bats. the bats were 15$ for 1 most teams bought bats in bulk just incase 1 breaks during a game

- Today Rawlings sells all kinds of sports equipment. they sell gloves bats baseball and even custom gloves. they have a shop in St Louis where players can customize a bat or a glove. the company is worth $395 Million Every spring players have the chance to make their own personalized glove that the team pays for. most gloves can cost between 400$ and 600$ some of the best players have their own model of gloves. bats are also a big part of Rawlings as well some players also have model bats they use during games
