  • U.SA: .The Louisiana purchase is significant for the U.S.A because, we only asked for part of what we got but france gave us more for a little bit more money so we took it instead. it gave us a vast part of our country's land, and allowed us to pursue our journey of expanding the U.S.A from Pacific to Atlantic.FRANCE: The Louisiana Purchase was significant because it made France sell the Louisiana land, which was needed to support napoleons future plans. He needed money to fund, materials, troops and everything he needed to conquer more land. This was achieved with the money from selling France.
  • Mexican War 1846
  • we hereby force you to sign this treaty cause you guys lost and so i guess you recognize the Rio grande as the now INDEPENDENT.. Texas right?
  • whatever. fine i guess.
  • U.S.A: Andrew Jackson thought of this act as beneficial for both parties. The Native Americans would gain there own specific land to live and thrive. This allowed Natives to not be an obstacle in the U.S's ongoing quest of manifest destiny. He saw this as a non aggressive way to get the Natives "Out of the way". NATIVE'S :The Indian removal act impacted the Natives in many ways .Tt forced them out of their own land, which resulted in a mass loss of culture and a huge loss of life. This also impacted them because it spiked there population to places that the reservations were made, such as Oklahoma and the Cherokee tribe.
  • Oregon Territory 1846
  • Do you want to travel a super long tail that we might die in to go check out this new Oregon thing?
  • OF COURSE!
  • U.s: Texas's independence impacted the US because eventually it added a major slave state when Texas was annexed, skewing the balance in congress between free and slave states, a very hot topic at the time. by adding Texas to the U.S its economy was able to grow, due to the heavy income Texas was receiving off of their cotton production, which was heavily done and relied on in the lone star state.MEXICO: Texas's independence impacted Mexico because it cost Mexico the land, population, and contribution to the economy now Texas contributed. Because of Texas's independence, Mexico lost a vast multitude of resources, population and revenue. Mexico also thought that if they couldn't prevent Texas from becoming independent, other territories would do the same.
  • American Indians and Westward Expansion - 1861
  • remember that treaty we signed that one time?... yah well it doesn't count anymore.
  • are you kidding me...
  • U.S.A: The Mexican War impacted the U.S.A because after the battles of the Mexican War, in 1846-18147, Mexico signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo with the U.S.A. It officially states that Mexico recognizes Texas as no longer a part of Mexico, but independent, and the Rio Grande its southern border. It also affected the U.S because the United States gained more than 500,000 square miles of land, expanding U.S. territory by about one-third.MEXICO: The Mexican war impacted Mexico because it cause Mexico to lose a vast part of land, and the benefits that came with it. This also affected Mexico because they lost many men in battle and had to recognize Texas as separate from themselves.
  • U.S.A : The Oregon Territory impacted the U.S by Pres. James Polk leading the British to believe that U.S would go to war with them for this land, which was untrue. Britain and the U.S had already agreed on whos land was whos, which left one section through Oregon country undecided. Pres. Polk wanted as much as he could get, so he pitched the idea of extending the agreed order to the pacific ocean, and Britain took it also impacted because of the oregon trail, a dangerous trail that was very commonly taken to reach the thriving new place america had gained. The border was then set, and The United States stretched from coast to coast.BRITAIN: The Oregon Territory affected Britain because Britain gained the land of Vancouver Island, and other land, which helped there economy grow with hew people, and goods coming in from new land.
  • USA: The American Indians and Westward expansion is significant to the U.S.A because we broke treaty's, betrayed people and made enemies out of the natives. We moved Natives on to reservations, and out of their land, spoke ill of them. Because of this, we were able to fulfill our "destiny" of being from the pacific to the Atlantic. Westward expansion made the U.S grow more than 525,000 sq miles of land. Natives: The Westward expansion impacted natives by pushing them out of their homes, betraying tribes, killing people, and speaking ill all because of entitlement. Natives were trying to live peacefully where their homes were but even that upset Americans. Some tribes even fought back on going to these reservations. This resulted in loss of people, culture and over all spirit. The Americans somehow broke what so little might have been there from there trays and betrayed so many.
