On the ride to town, Tom begins to rant about Gatsby. The car runs low on gas, and Tom stops by George Wilson's garage.
Tom Calls Out Gatsby
You're not even an Oxford man, you're a bootlegger.
George Wilson tells Tom that he needs money so that he can move to the Mid-west.
The Truth comes out
Wilson tells tom that he has Myrtle locked inside to give her a break before they move away.
Where's Myrtle?
Tom decides to try to make Gatsby look bad by asking about his past. Tom particularly picks Gatsby's time at Oxford.
Gatsby, in response to Tom's investigation, tells Tom that Daisy doesn't love him. The claim shocks everyone and Gatsby makes Daisy say that she never loved Tom.
