- In Act 1 Scene 5 Romeo first meets Juliet at the Capulet family party. He falls in love instantly, but they don't know that Juliet is a Capulet and Romeo is a Montague. 
- In Act 2 Juliet sits at the balcony thinking she's alone, but Romeo is listening. She reveals her deep love for Romeo and how she wishes there were no feuds between the Montague and Capulet family. Romeo is listening and they both vow to drop there family names once they get married. 
- Now that they are ready to marry each other, they go to Friar Lawrence and try to convince him to get them married. Although he doesn't approve he decides to marry them hoping it would end the dispute between the Montague and Capulet families. 
- In the beginning of Act 3 Mercutio and Tybalt fight each other and Tybalt ends up killing Mercutio. As a result Romeo gets upset and kills Tybalt who is Juliet's cousin. Romeo is banished by the prince. The Nurse informs Juliet of this and she can't stop crying because she is scared from being separated from Romeo. Romeo is also crying and threatens to kill himself if he is separated from Juliet. Finally, Romeo and Juliet meet and decide to spend the night together before Romeo fled to Mantua. 
- The next day Juliet is informed that she has to marry Paris in a few days, her parents don't know she is already married to Romeo a son of the Montague family. Juliet disobeys and doesn't want to marry Paris. Friar Lawrences plan to keep Romeo and Juliet together is to have Romeo fled to Mantua. He will give Juliet a potion which will fake her death and as soon as she is burried Romeo will meet her at the spot of her grave so they can fled together. 
- Juliet takes the potion and is found 'dead' the next morning in her bedroom. Her parents are mourning her death and the wedding planning turns into funeral planning.
