The Dangerous Dinner
Rainsford, and his friend Whitney were sailing to the caribbean. Rainsford stays up and then hears a noise, and tries to investigate. Rainsford loses his balance and falls off the yacht.
Traps?
Rainsford swims to the feared "Ship Trap Island," where he finds blood from what he believes is a dead animal. Then Rainsford finds a palatial chateau where he finds Ivan and Zaroff.
Gone into the sea again
Zaroff invited Rainsford into his home and let him eat dinner with him. During the dinner Rainsford was told things that he could have gone his whole life not knowing. Zaroff tells Rainsford that he found a new kind of animal to hunt. Zaroff hunts humans.
A much needed sleep
After the dinner Rainsford couldn't cause he was horrified and in the morning he set off and tried to make a kind of trap. When Zaroff got there he knew Rainsford was there and laughed and walked away.
Rainsford had made many traps to escape Zaroff but no matter what he did Zaroff was still alive. During Rainsford's time in the forest he made traps. Rainsford killed probably two hounds and Ivan. He made a big jump after that into the sea.
As Zaroff walked into his room thinking that Rainsford died in the harsh sea's when the General turned on his bedroom light he saw Rainsford wet and sitting on his bed. Rainsad said that he just swam through everything, by the end Rainsford lives another day while Zaroff dies by his own hounds.
