The Sceneca Falls Convention in 1848 was the first women's rights convention and created an organized campaign for women's rights.It advertised itself as a convention to discuss the social, civil, and religious condition and rights of woman.
Women deserve rights, too!!
The Nineteenth Amendmentguaranteed women the right to vote throughout the United States. It was first introduced to Congress in 1878, but wasn't ratified until 1920.
I can finally vote!
Title IX was enacted as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. It prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal governmentsuch as sports.
Now there has to be an equal number of girls and boys sports.
The Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978prohibits discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions. (i.e.denial of time off, firing or demoting a pregnant employee, forced time off)

The Fourteenth Amendmentaffirmed the new rights of freed women and men in 1868. The law stated that everyone born in the United States, including former slaves, was an American citizen. No state could pass a law that took away their rights to “life, liberty, or property.”
