Hey mommy! I learned about hurricane Katrina today!Did you know that, Katrina first made landfall in southern Florida as a category 1 hurricane, causing some damage and fatalities on August 23 2005.
Oh II remember doing that it also The storm increased to Category 5 after entering the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, but weakened to Category 3 before making landfall on the Gulf Coast, and ended on August 31.

On here, it saids that Katrina left residents who couldn't — or chose not to — evacuate stranded in their homes with waters rising around them. Forty percent of hurricane-related deaths were from drowning!!!!!!!!!!!
And here it saids The extensive damage and flooding significantly altered the demographics of New Orleans, with a substantial decrease in its population in the years following the disaster!!
