Madame complains that she doesn´t have anything to wear to the event, but her husband mentions she could wear the dress she wears to the theater.
Go ask your friend Madame Forestier she will give you a necklace to wear.
Her husband gives her 400 francs which he was saving up to buy a gun for hunting with his friends, for her to buy a dress because she didn´t want to wear her one that she wears to the theater.
Madame is upset because she doesn´t have any any jewels to wear to the party.
Her husband sugests she sees her friend Madame Forestier because she will lend her a necklace for the party.
