- He's about six and a half feet...His teeth are ywlloe and a long jagged scar runs across his face.
- You never really until you see things from their point of view. Until you climb into his skin and walak around in it.
- Bob Ewell knew it would be easy to frame Tom Robinson because of the Jury's prejudiced behavior against Black Individuals. While he lacked integrity and a solid piece of evidence, it was still enough to convince the Jury to side with him. They saw not only Tom's story but Tom himself as unbelievable because of his race.
- There's only one kind of folks. Folks.
- The children negatively spoke of Boo Radley. They pieced together rumors and outside nonreliable sources to base their impressions of him off of. Their deminor towards Boo is a great example of them being predjudice. They hadn't heard or seen Boo Radley and essentially just went along and confirmed the accusations.
- I was just helping her, sir.
- A large majority of Maycomb is fast to assume and judge from first glance. Scout's teacher is seeing Atticus as a brainwashing negative influence on scout for not instilling a prejudice mentality in her. He wants her to value personal beliefs and look from more than just her perspective.
- I heard he's a monster...
- Scout, who hasn't been heavily influenced by the rest of her community, sees everyone as equals. She acknowledges their differences but doesn't consider race a factor. This quotes not only recognizes Scouts privilege of thinking it's that simple in this time period, but the lessons Atticus is teaching her.
- Tom Robinson faces his inevitable fate as an innocent Black man who was punished for doing what was right. Killed. He simply "made music", not harming anything else.
- Boo Radley helped his community. He had done nothing to be criticized or judged from a rumor. His character, morals, and looks were all slandered by these outside perspectives.
- I hear he eats squirrels...
