- In the begining of chapter 2 the boys start to make rules on the island and the mulberry boy claims there is a beastie. The conch os seen as less powerful during the chapter, they decide to light a fire and go running of into the mountain, all the boys gather firewood and use piggys specs to light they fire then it goes out of control, jack disregards piggys opinion, and piggy questions ralphs authority.
- In the begining of chapter 3 jack goes hunting for the pig whilst Simon and Ralph build a shelter each, most of the boys are slacking off for the work and not doing what they are told, jack is becoming more savagy and is losing his humanity, jack wants to hunt the pigs as his main goal, Simon helps take care of the littluns, he goes to a secret area where no one knows where it is and finds some candle bugs.
- Littluns and biggenswhere separated, Littluns did not contribute to working, They would only playand eat all day getting dirty, The biggens were mean to the littluns, Rodger isthrowing stones in the water, Jack puts face paint on to hunt better, he boysmake fun of piggy, The boys clothing gradually get mor ripped and fewer, Theysee a boat on the horizon, They needed to get up to the fire on the hill butthe fire was out, Ralph is very angry that the job of the fire wasn’t done,They kill a pig, Ralph is angry at jack and the others for not taking care of their jobs, Jackteases piggy and breaks his specs, Ralph and jack argue until jack apologises,They have a camp fire and cook/eat the pig, They pretend to be the pig, Ralphcalls an assembly
