1st box is about Theme. Jimmy is cracking a safe to help a little girl than to steel money. 2nd box is about mood/tone. It is suspenseful because is going to rob a bank but the banks owners daughter catches his attention. He is also calm about the situation. 3rd and 4th box are about foreshadowing. The title, a retrieved reformation, means that someone is going to change and Jimmy does change. He is safe cracking at the beginning but soon did it to help a little girl. The 5th box is about character traits for Jimmy. At the beginning he is a safe cracker and a liar. Towards the end, he tries to make a honest living by opening a shoe store.

- Throughout the story it is suspenseful because you don't know what is going to happen. Jimmy was going to rob a bank but was stumped when he say the bank owners daughter. You don't know what he is going to do.

- Based of the title of the story, someone is going to change and Jimmy is the one that changes. At the beginning he is a safe cracker.

- Foreshadowing continued--But toward the end he using his skills for good not bad. He cracks a safe to save a little girl. As well as he gave up his life of crime to be with a bank owners daughter.
- At the beginning of the story, he is a liar and a thief. Towards the end of the story, he tries to be caring and opens a shoe store, trying to make a honest living.
