- John Cabot was a young merchant and a shopkeeper in Italy Venice. One day He was sweeping the grounds and getting ready to open the shop when he say all the trade that had came in from Asia. There were spices,silks, and clothing and he took a fancy to it at once
- OH! I see just as i thought.
- Later that year in 1489 the king had called for his presence.The king was very pleased with all the new trade he had brought in and dicided to give him a large ship with a crew of eighteen and said You may be our explorer for the unknown lands.
- Dangrous
- Then he was off from Venice Italy to the Indies. He was very hope full for the good trade that had been told by many other exploerers and was very hopeful.
- Safe
- As he got to his first destineation he was known tio be a very talented navagator. They said all he would need to do is glimpse at a map and he would be able to get you from point a to pint b.
- He second stop was in England where he made a fair trade with this women he had met. It was not the best as he had hoped but he thought it would do just fine. And besides he was not at his final destination yet.
- Just as Columbuss did he found a safer route to the Indies. Most explorers went west but sometimes ended into ship wrecks or even drowned with the whole crew. But John Cabot was a wise man and wanted to keep everyone safe so he used the eastword route.
