- One day, Alfredo heard his sister and father talked about him and Esperanza. Where Carmen asked their father when will the wedding of the two will happen. They also talked about how the relationship of the two were so warm compared to how is it in the present.
- Papa, when will the long table be set?
- Hi, I am Alfredo Salazar. Nice to meet you, Julia!
- When Alfredo goes neighboring with Don Julian in Judge Del Valle's house, it was the first time he saw Julia and he got attracted with her, already.
- I am with someone tonight.
- I am Julia, nice to meet you. Come in!
- When Alfredo and Julia met they then started to go out, often. Alfredo tried to confess his feelings but then knew that Julia was coming back to her hometown.
- Sure. I also want to inform you that I am going back to my hometown.
- I'll see you next day, Julia.
- One night, Esperanza shared to Alfredo their note-taker who is living with a man she is not married with, to which Alfredo contradict. That is when she confronted him and that she knows his affair with Julia then made him choose.

- I know you are seeing someone. You need to choose between her and me.
- Alfredo came up with the decision of marrying Esperanza. However, Alfredo still has a lingering feelings towards Julia despite being married with Esperanza for eight years.
- In the end, Alfredo’s internal conflict with himself is resolved. He realized that his feelings were long gone and it was not real anymore, just like a dead star.
- I saw Julia after 8 years and I realize all the thoughts I have about her was just infatuation.
