- My mind is still in a haze. No, not a haze. Not even dense fog. It feels as I I'm wandering around in a pitch-black room, searching for the light switch (pg 18).
- My eyes move left to right as I scope out my environment, trying not to give myself away. What kind of bell was that? Where am I (Pg 11)?
- Silas and Charlie start off at their school they have been going to for years, but they can't seem to remember anything about it. Walking around the halls not remembering familiar faces or where their classes are. they finally find each other in their last class and decide to stick together.
- Gleiten: 2
- We both start laughing at the same time. I like him. I really do. He's so easy to be around. he laughs too much, maybe (pg 327).
- I don't normally believe in soul mates, I tell her. But for the next twenty-four hours, I'd bet my life for It to be true (Pg 333).
- Silas and Charlie have been losing their memories every 48 hrs. Silas finds out that because he believes he will not be complete without Charlie, he does not lose his memory. Silas takes the lead and takes charlie into town to make her fall in love with him, like he has with her
- Gleiten: 3
- Charlie starts laughing between her tears. I'm holding her against me, my face pressed against her neck. I close my eyes and sort through all the memories (pg 353).
- He threads our fingers together and says, ten seconds. We both inhale deep breaths. I can feel his hands shaking, but they aren't shaking nearly as badly as mine (pg 351).
- The two find their way back to Silas's house and have only a couple of hours before their memory is going to reset. Both Silas and Charlie have said that they have feelings for each other. Now they have to sleep through the night to find out if they have broken the curse.
