התחלת יחידה או שיעור בעזרת אוצר המילים העיקרי בהבנה ובשימור הכללי. בפעילות זו התלמידים ייצרו לוח סיפור המגדיר וממחיש אוצר מילים מרכזי המצוי בספר מילים אחרות לבית מאת יסמין וורגה. התלמידים ייצרו מפת עכביש של 3-5 מונחים על פי שיקול דעתם של המורים. כל תא יכיל מונח או רמיזה, הגדרתו או תיאורו, והמחשה מתאימה.
