- *Man* This is a water cycle or hydrologic chart that a teacher would probably show you in 3rd grade.
- *Man* And this is a example of what your teacher should show you in about the 6th grade.
- *Man* Your probably now wondering what the water cycle is so, what is the water cycle?
- *Man* "The Water Cycle is, condensed water vapor that falls to the Earth's surface. Most precipitation occurs as rain, but also includes snow, hail, fog drip, and sleet. Approximately 505,000 km 3 of water falls as precipitation each year of it over the oceans."
- *Man* This is a pie chart that represents the water distribution on earth
- *Man* As you can see the ocean has the most possession of water. 97% isn't that crazy! The Ocean water broken down is Ice caps and Glaciers.
- *Man* And the small amount we have left is Freshwater. Which is only 3%! This is the water we drink and what living things live off of.
- *Woman* Of that 3 percent 29% of it is ground water which we will learn about soon, 29% of 3... that doesn't make any sense! Well it does I'm not the best at math but it makes sense.
- *Woman* And last but not least 1% belongs to Accessible Surface Freshwater! This is distributed by rivers, water with living organisms, water vapor and, soil moisture.
- *Woman* "Groundwater (or ground water) is the water present beneath Earth's surface in soil pore spaces and in the fractures of rock formations. A unit of rock or an unconsolidated deposit is called an aquifer when it can yield a usable quantity of water. The depth at which soil pore spaces or fractures and voids in rock become completely saturated with water is called the water table."
- Ground water is another way to store water just in case we run out. Ground water is not just good but it helps us conserve our water.
- The solid rock, clay, and sand was the materials that help keep the water clean. Its almost like a Brita!
