- After determining how much sunlight and water your plant needs, choose a place to plant it. You want to make sure that your site gets adequate sunlight.

- Use a shovel to dig a hole in the dirt. A good rule of thumb is to plant your seeds at a depth equal to two or three times their width. It is actually better to plant seeds too shallow than too deep ,as they may not grow. Water your seeds according to the directions; typically once a day.
