Battle of Haystings

- William the Norman sails for England for control of the crown . Supposedly the last king of England left it to him but Harold had taken the crown. So William is going to take the crown from Harold and rule England.
- William had landed on shore and before the battle William had had a feast.
- William stormed the shield wall but it would not fall
- the rumor that William took an arrow to the eye the army fled. Harold army broke the shield wall to pursue Williams army.
- then William showed his army he was OK then the battle raged on. without the shield wall Harold army was at a disadvantage.
- after a long battle Williams army won the battle and ruled over England.
