Storyboard-Text

  • Go buy a bunch of clothes and spend your money!
  • How Freud Sees Me
  • I need to find a balance!
  • No! Save your money for when you really need to buy something!
  • Julia, why did you take my shirt without asking?
  • How Adler Sees me
  • Guys, stop fighting with each other! It is just a shirt
  • I knew you would say no, so I just took it. Why do you care so much?
  • How Horney Sees Me
  • No one is going to love me, so I am going to focus on myself!
  • Sigmund Freud created the psychoanalytic theory, which focused on our unconscious thoughts and emotional reactions, specifically the id, ego, and superego. The id is responsible for basic impulses, the superego is responsible for ideals and morals, and the ego was the mediating factor between the two.
  • How Rogers Sees Me
  • I am going to study really hard for this next test and do better! I need to stay optimistic!
  • Alfred Adler is responsible for creating the birth order theory. This theory states that the order in which a child was born impacts their personality. Children that are born first are rule followers and leaders, children born in the middle are peace keepers and creative, and children born last are agreeable and outgoing. As you can see, I am trying to stop their fighting as a middle child.
  • How Costa and McCrae See Me
  • I got off at the wrong bus stop! I am very anxious and worrisome, but I need to stay organized and focused!
  • Karen Horney developed the theory that is about how we feel most helpless, anxious, and lost around the issue of getting enough love. We build our personality around fighting rejection, whether that is with compliance, aggression, or withdrawal. The concept of withdrawal is shown above by deciding to focus on myself instead of focusing on relationships with other people.
  • How Bandura Sees Me
  • I did bad on the test because I did not study enough. It is my own fault.
  • TEST TODAY!!!! DONT FORGET TO STUDY!
  • Carl Rogers' humanistic theory is about a conscious, self-motivated ability to chance and improve. It revolves around the idea that humans wish to reach their actualizing tendency, or develop their potential to the fullest extent. In the picture, it is shown that I need to study and stay positive going into my next test because I want to improve and change my grades.
  • Costa and McCrae created the "Big Five" model which is represented by five different traits. These traits are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. They can be observable at early stages of life and remain stable as we age. As seen above, I could be described using conscientious and neurotic because I am panicking, but need to stay focused on getting to the right bus stop.
  • Albert Bandura helped develop the term locus of control, which describes out beliefs about the power we have over our lives. There are internal and external loci of control. In this picture, an internal locus of control is shown because I am in charge of myself and blamed myself for my failures and circumstances.
