- When the atmospheric Nitrogen,(N2) goes into the soil, Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria turns the N2 into something plants and animals can use. This process is called Nitrogen Fixation.

- Once the Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria fixes the Nitrogen, a plants' roots absorb the now usable Nitrogen. This process is called Root Absorption.

- The next step is Root Absorption.

- When the roots absorb the usable nitrogen, eventually, an animal will come along and consume the plant to get the nitrogen.
