- According to the Judiciary act, the president can appoint me as a judge, and since John Adams was president when he appointed me,

- Out first order of business is to repeal the Judiciary Act of 1801 appoint a few of our own judges instead.
- Thomas Jefferson
- However, Jefferson has to sign off on the papers, or else Marbury cannot become a justice.
- This basically means Marbury will not become a justice, because Thomas Jefferson does not want him to be one.
- We have come up with something called the "Judicial Review" where we can decide whether laws are constitutional or not
- The president agrees that the judicial branch should receive more power in our government, specifically the Supreme Court.
- The Judicial Branch is finally equal, alongside with the two other branches of the government.
