- This is the last time, do you hear me? You can't keep asking for more; I don't have it.
- But if you don't get me the money I will tell.
- Hello Monty! Ah, that's where I left them. Monty have you been in here?
- Becca's home! Quick, get in the closet!
- I'm so, so sorry. We didn't know what else to do. We were in too deep. I never thought Sal would end up dead. I thought if we just played along, the police would catch whoever had hurt Andie, Sal would be cleared, and we'd all be OK.
- Sal was innocent. Someone killed Andie, and then they killed Sal, after making sure he looked guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Your best friend was innocent, and you've all known it for over five years.
- In pages 171-176 Pip went to the parking lot by the train station to find Howie Bowers. After waiting several hours, he finally showed up, and Stanley Forbes came to meet him there. Pip used her phone to take pictures of the meeting to use against Howie as leverage later.
- I least I'll get Barney back.
- In pages 193-203 Pip and Ravi break into the Bell house to try to find Andie's burner phone. Unfortunately, it was not in the spot that it was supposed to be in, so they took pictures of Andie's planner instead to try to find some information. While at the house they almost got caught by Andie's sister, Becca Bell.
- I'm just done Ravi. I can't do it. I don't know who killed them. I can't work it out. I'm finished. I'm done with Andie Bell. I'm done with Sal
- You made it your job. You barged your way into my life, offering me this chance I never had before. You can't take that away from me now; you know I need you. You can't give up! This isn't you.
- It's not my job to prove that.
- But he's innocent!
- In pages 244-255 Pip went to confront Max and Naomi about lying to the police about when Sal had left Max's house. Naomi broke down and admitted that someone made them do it by blackmailing them with something awful they'd done. Naomi also admitted that she knew Sal was innocent all along and that it broke her.
- In pages 291-297 Pip destroys her research after being threatened by an unknown person. If she didn't, then the unknown person would kill her dog who had been taken. Sadly, even after destroying everything, Pip's dog was found dead in the river, drowned by "unknown."
- In pages 298-312 Pip tells Ravi that they have to give up on Sal and Andie. She explains that she destroyed all her research, and told him that it's not her job to prove Sal innocent. Ravi was devastated. but later came back after figuring out that Pip must've been forced to quit.
