- Oh no! We've got a test on encoding audio files, and I didn't study!
- Don't worry i know how to, i'll show you before class
- Wait up!
- Hurry up, we don't have much time!
- So for a computer to encode audio files, it needs to translate the audio signal into a signal readable by a computer
- ?
- The computer does this by, sampling the audio signal per milliseconds, holding the sampled value and then comparing it to a threshold voltage. The computer then takes the sampled voltages and converts them to a format it can understand, binary (0s and 1s).

- So basically the computer listens to the audio, and then translates it to a language it understands
