- I don't think the guard would have anymore power...
- Bickman found that the guard was obeyed more again, and surveillance had no effect on obedience levels.
- In Experiment 3a, 141 college students were asked to fill out a questionnaire about the scenarios. They were asked whether they thought the scenarios used in Experiment 1&2 were 'legitimate requests'
- In Experiment 3b, 189 college students had to predict what people would do in the scenarios from Experiment 1&2. They did not predict that the guard would have more authority. In conclusion, Bickman's study supports the situational factors theory, as it provides imperical evidence that the theory is true in real life situations, and you can't predict how you'll act until you're faced with a certain situation.
