Enlil, ruler of Earth, declared that if one of these brother's must die, and he chose Enkidu.

Enkidu, the rivers weep for you, and the mountains too.
With Enkidu gone, Gilgamesh mourned his loss. Gilgamesh gave Enkidu gold, ivory, and lapis lazuli.
As Gilgamesh arrived, he saw 2 scorpions guarding the mountain
