- The Proclamation of 1763
- get off our land! we fought for it! we already have a lot of people living on that side and farms built. You're kicking us off!
- No. This is a great idea. We will stop fighting and getting hurt and the land size is fair.
- The Stamp Act
- “No taxation without representation!”
- Higher taxes! this is too much. i already pay too much. This is unfair. Just because the British are doing it doesn't mean we have too
- You must all buy stamps! There will be higher taxes!
- We didn't choose this. you are goin against our will.
- The Quartering Act
- You must all provide British troops with quarters r housing.
- You are going against our will again. This already happened with the stamp act now its the quartering act!
- Indeed. We will go broke if we let this happen. They should buy their own houses and quarters.
- The soldiers just take up space and do nothing! we do we have to pay for them?
- We can not do this. we wont have enough money for us and our families they are asking for too much.
- The British government had a problem on keeping colonists and American Indians from fighting as settlers pushed westward. So they drew a line to separate them.
- The Townshend Acts
- We must all support the boycott. then we will get our rights back.
- A law in which required colonists to buy a stamp for every piece of paper they used.
- The Boston Massacre
- If you hurt us we hurt you. that is the only fair way. We tried not to but we cant just stand here.
- A new law after the stamp act this law ordered colonial assemblies to provide British troops with quarters, or housing.
- The Boston Tea Party
- We are not fouls! we know you just want to tax us more without our consent. We dumped your tea and were not taking any more laws.
- That tea was expensive! you people are selfish! We were just trying to be nice and delivering the tea but i guess this wont go down without a fight.
- In 1767, he persuaded Parliament to pass the Townshend Acts. The new laws placed a duty, or tax, on certain goods the colonies imported from Great Britain, including such popular items as glass, paint, paper, and tea.

- On the same day that Parliament repealed the Townshend duties, a fight broke out between soldiers and colonists in Boston. When the dust cleared, five Bostonians were dead and others in the crowd were injured. Patriots called this incident the Boston Massacre.

- A protest in which the colonies dumped 90 thousand pounds of tea into the ocean as a way to show that they aren't going to take anymore laws put against their consent.
