- 1) Newton's First Law of Motion states that an object remains in a state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change that state by an applied force.

- 3) Yes, I will. When I throw the ball to you, the ball reaches you with uniform motion. When you catch the ball you are applying an unbalanced force on it. This unbalanced force stops the ball, which makes you to catch it. This law is also called as law of inertia. I hope you have understood.
