Frederick Douglass

Rising Action: After Frederick Douglass escapes from the farm, he finds an old man namesd Sandy who was a slave. He tells Douglass to go back and gives him a root and told Douglass that it would help him but preventing anybody from hitting or beating him. Douglass did not think it would work but he still took it and went back to the farm.
You must go back. Here. Take these roots, it will help you. Nobody, even the master will hit or beat you. Trust me, it gives you luck for the rest of your life.

Climax: After Douglass went back to the farm, Covey was furious and both of them started fighting. Douglass was tried of being mistreated and snapped. And since he had to roots, he believed he wouldn't be beaten even if he fought with Covey. So, he held Covey's throat while he was trying to pull away. After, Douglass let go.
*strangles*

Falling Action: After Douglass Covey fight with eachtoher, Covey stopped beating Douglass and Douglass then realizes that the root Sandy gave him really works and he is really happy. Then in the future, he was never beaten again by anybody.
Hah! The root Sandy gave me really works? I'm so happy!!! I hope it works for the rest of my life!
I'm not gonna beat him and make him work faster...
