- This is Phineas Gage. He is twenty-six, unmarried, 5'6, and helps building railroads for a living.
- It is said that something very bad is going to happen because of his job. So, shall we wait and see if that is to happen?
- This is Phineas's Crew. They all work together to build railroads.
- Phineas and his partner work on blasting rocks out of the way so that they are able to put railroads down.
- But, they have to follow certain steps in order for that to happen. If someone were to make a mistake, something very bad could happen.
- Or, at least that's what they think. No one really knows. So, because that happened Phineas's tamping iron shot into the air because of the impact, and landed right in his head. Someone was told to go and get the doctor. However, the doctor in their town was no where to be found, so, that person had to do the next town over and get their doctor.
- While Phineas was working, some say that he got distracted and that was what caused him to let go of his tamping iron.
- Soon, the doctor arrived at where they had taken Phineas. The doctor asked what happened and was amazed, yet terrified when Phineas said that he could tell him exactly what had happened.
- While Phineas is explaining what happened to the doctor, the doctor can't believe that this man is still alive.
- After Phineas had concluded his story about what happened, the doctor did not believe him.
