  • The Proclamation of 1763
  • I know, I hope we don't get caught.
  • This is stupid!!
  • We are going tonight, we need our freedom!
  • The Stamp Act of 1765
  • Why Is this happening!! This is tiring!
  • The Townshend Act of 1765
  • Thanks Ma'ma (smirking).
  • (Thinking) Haa. These people are losers.
  • Here you go (Fake Smiling).
  • (Thinking) Why do they have to use all of our supplies and eat our food! This is terrible!!
  • Hmm.
  • The proclamation stated the settlers were forbidden to cross the west of the Appalachian Mts. The plan was failing. Colonists continued to go across the Mts. and to claim farther into the Ohio River Vally. It led to the Revolution because Colonists tried to gain the west of the Appalachian Mts. during the French and Indian War.
  • The Boston Massacre of 1770
  • AHHHHHHHHH!
  • We are leaving in a week, why won't they just let us cross.
  • Colonists had to buy stamps for ships' papers, legal documents, newspapers, licenses and etc. It wasn't the money that angered the colonists, but that it was happening. It helped lead to the Revolution because it was a major cause on when they did taxation without a vote/representation.
  • The Boston Tea Party of 1773
  • Yes, We did it!!
  • This was when British troops were able to live in your house and use your supplies. It was the British using the supplies that got them most mad. They put taxes on items like lead, paint, paper, tea. It led to the Revolution because Colonists boycotted against British goods; The Townshend duties repealed all taxes except on the tea.
  • The Intolerable Acts of 1774
  • We have to punish these people for their actions.
  • It started when colonists harrassed the British and soon turned into a huge fight. 5 people were killed at the moment by the British. Many people were sent to trial, 6 soldiers were not guilty and 2 were. It led to the Revolution because they were tired of the things that were going on and soon led them to fight for their independence.
  • It happened when colonists ordered tea but then didn't want it anymore because of the tax. The British wouldn't let them return it. So, Some Protestants boarded the ships as disguised Indians and dumped all the tea off of it. It led to the Revolution because it was the first time when colonists went up against their own government.
  • There are 4 acts and they were all made because of what happened in the Boston Tea Party. The King wasn't very that this had happened, so he made the acts as a punishment. The colonists didn't like the acts that they had and had felt it violated their rights. The outrages this that had happened gave a big push to the Revolution.
  • (Thinking) Hmm, I could make laws to punish them.
  • Yes, but how?
