- This is the election of 1828 and the rematch between Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams. This time Andrew Jackson won and as a American at this time period this election was very important to you because these two were both popular.

- The market revolution was expanding the American economy. For examples the farmers that grew food were not selling to the locals and local stores but rather in distant places and mass production was increasing. American global trade was expanding and sending stuff across seas inexpensively. Being a American especially a business man meant more money and opportunities to make money by selling goods overseas and enexpensively over seas.
- Jackson streghnted the federal government. Jackson was not a fan of a powerful central government. Being a American at this time Jackson we strengthen the federal government by paying of national debt and expending land in the country. If you were a American in this time period you most likely liked him and he was known as the " peoples president". He destroyed the second bank of the United States founded by the Democratic party. If you were a Native American at this time you were forced to migrate because of the Indian removable act of 1830. Many liked Jackson in office.

- The age of reform was due to factors like the second great awaking  and the transformation of the American economy happening at this time. Another  factor is since everything is developing and industrialization and  urbanization is increasing in the states . The main goal of this reform is to make the lives of Americans better and to make mass improvements in society.
