- You scared us!
- Tomorrow was going to be the best day of my life! I was lying on my bed of the luxurious hotel and imagining the wonders of tomorrow. This was the third day of the incredible holiday in New Zealand and me and my family we all looking forward to it. Tomorrow we were visiting the highest mountain in New Zealand, Mount Cook! The best thing is there is a ski park, and we get to ride in a gondola across the mountain range. I just can’t wait!
- 9:30AM: M O U N T C O O K
- I woke up 7am sharp and jumped out of bed, as fast as the flash I ran into my parents and brothers room and woke them up and urged them to get ready.
- We all quickly got ready and ate our breakfast as swiftly as we could. Me and my brother were asked to pack our bags before we leave, so I ran into my room and packed my camera, notebook and wallet just in case we go to the souvenir shop.
- Yaaay!
- Whooohooo
- I Love Skiing!
- Finally, we departed at 8am and reached at 9:30am, it had been a peaceful car ride and I was really excited that we had finally reached Mount Cook!
- We parked our car and bought the ticket for the entry of the ski park. But little did we know there was a marvelous surprise awaiting us at the end.
- The cashier gave us our ski suits and we set of into our first adventure of the day, skiing! It was so much fun and we all enjoyed. We were having the time of our lives! We spent around 2 hours in the ski field playing games, trying different tricks and even snowball fighting!
- After our first mind blowing adventure, we were ready for our next event. We were now going to encounter the best part which I‘ve been waiting for. It was the trip across the mountain in the Gondola! We quickly took our ski suits and gear and then took off into the mountain range. We paid for our ticket’s again and the guide showed us the way to the base where we would ride through the mountain range.
- The guide closed the door off the Gondola, and we were about to experience the third adventure of the day. The ride was truly incredible, I took thousands of photos, and I couldn’t wait to view them back at the hotel! The gondola ran over the vast mountain range and down to the finishing point, although it was a 10 minute ride, but it made my day. The ride covered the marvelous icy mountains overlapping the miraculous glaciers beneath it.
- We departed the gondola at the finishing point but instead of proceeding down the hill our parents insisted us to close our eyes and follow them. We were really confused but quietly followed on. Finally, our parents told to step inside but not open our eyes yet, we could also hear something spinning rapidly above us.
- Finally, our parents allowed us to open our eyes and we were hovering above Mount Cook! It was a spectacular sight being above the highest mountain in New Zealand, from the snow white glaciers to the bright blue sky. This was definitely the best day of this holiday!
- After a long tiring but breathtaking day we headed back to the hotel to get some rest.
- We had dinner and immediately went to sleep, thinking of the next exciting days to come!
