- Oskar Schindler moves his factory to Brunnlitz on October 21, 1944- saving over 1000 Jews in Poland by claiming that they were essential to the German war effort. He used fake papers and multiple bribes to save almost 1500 Jews during the war.
- Evacuation of Chelmno on January 17, 1945. The Nazis evacuated the Chelmno killing centre as the Soviet army was approaching. Almost 152,000 people were killed in total; only 3 survived.
