- Are you guys ready for the new season? I feel like we are going to do great!

- We're calling the cops right now!
- Jayson is a 12 year old boy that lives all by himself. His mom died and his mom's boyfriend left him. He doesn't mind it much though, for most of the time he is out of the house and doing other things, like basketball. Basketball is one of the things that Jayson loves and he is good at. Basketball is also the one thing that makes him feel like he is in control of something.
- Falling Action
- Jayson goes to school and Moreland East and is the top Point Guard there. Jayson is very close with his best friends, Tyrese and Shabazz. This season there is a state wide tournament and if your team is good enough, your team gets to go to play in the county tournament. If you won that, you would get to play in the state championship at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Jayson believes in his team and thinks they can go the distance. 
- Resolution
- Wow, maybe Mrs. Lawton was right. I really like living here. I have new friends and still old friends from Moreland East. 
- One day at practice, Jayson's coach looks down at his beat up and ripped shoes and asks him when he is going to get a new pair.  Jayson lies and says he's going later this week to get a new pair. The thing is, Jayson doesn't have enough money, so his solution is to steal them. He goes into the store with the mindset of, "It's only a crime if you get caught." Eventually, he gets caught and reported. 
- Resolution
- I can't believe we are actually in the Cameron Indoor Gym! This is crazy.
- After being reported, a social worker sets up a meeting with Jayson to figure out his problems at home. He doesn't want to move and he hates the idea of being in a foster home. So, the social worker finds him a home with Mr. and Mrs. Lawton. Jayson has to move to the other side of town and has to attend a new school. Jayson hates living with the Lawton's and wishes he could go back to Moreland East. 
- NO!
- You're going to live with us Jayson. You're going to love it.
- After settling in Belmont, he finally makes friends and realizes that living there wasn't so bad. He plays on the Belmont basketball team and is playing really well. Even his other friends, Tyrese and Shabazz still appreciate him and show love.
- Jayson is one game away from playing in the state championship game, but the thing is, he has to play his old school, Moreland East. They are able to win the hard fought game and advance to the finals. Jayson and his team travel to the stadium and are amazed. They take pictures and have a good time. The championship game starts, and Jayson gets to lead his team out of the tunnel.
