- When you grow up you must kill your father. He ate your siblings and is a bad guy.
- Ok.
- In the beginning, there was Gaea and Uranus, the earth and the sky. They had many children, but Uranus feared them and banished them to Tartarus. Gaea became upset and swore to destroy Uranus
- Noooooo!
- Your reign ends today, father!
- Gaea told her son Kronos to kill his father, and so he did. Kronos became the new lord of the sky. Kronos also created a race of men called the Golden men. He then married a goddess named Rhea. However, Kronos began eating his children as he too feared them.
- Rhea learned about this. She gave Kronos a stone wrapped in baby clothes and he ate it, thinking it was her child, Rhea then hid on the island of Crete to deliver her son Zeus, safe from Kronos. Zeus soon grew up and became the most powerful god.
- Zeus freed his brothers and sisters, who were in Kronos’s stomach. He then fought Kronos in a long war that lasted years and years. The men of the golden age were all killed. Zeus eventually managed to defeat his father.
- Zeus built the palace of Olympus and married Hera, who was one of his sisters. They had many children, but Zeus also had many children with other women. Zeus also created a second race of men. They were foolish and had no respect for the gods. They were the men of the silver age, and it didn’t last long.
- Zeus created another race of men, made of bronze. They were very aggressive and went to war with each other. They destroyed each other with malice, and so Zeus hid them away in Tartarus with the silver men.
