HOW I FORM

Texto del Guión Gráfico

  • What's up mga ka-bato! I'm Stocky. I'm actually not this small, but because of the water, my physical formation changed
  • Stratified rocks begin their formation with the process called Weathering. In this process, wind, water, and other natural agents break down rocks and form sediments
  • After the process of Weathering, the rock is now being moved to another place. This process is called Erosion. Erosion is the removal of soil, rock, or dissolved in one place and then transporting it to another location
  • Then, the sediments and the fossils will settle in a particular place. This process is called Deposition. It occurs when the sediments are deposited on the ground, or sink to the bottom of a lake or ocean.
  • Ooohh my God! we're sinking!
  • After sinking, the deposited sediments will begin to stick to one another. This process is called Compaction. Compaction happens when pressure forces sediments together into one rock.
  • Umm, Why are we being pulled closer?
  • Then, the process called Cementation follows where in the sediment is chemically glued together when minerals precipitate from the water they are dissolved in and fill the pore space between compressed sediment.
  • That is how I was formed mga ka-bato.
