- berlin was a peaceful city with many citzens.
- until soldiers came to ruin it,...... as the wall was built to seperate east and west.
- the day August 13 1961 the "metal curtain" was born.... many people have escaped and many people did escape....but others were trapped.
- more than 100's escaped but a hundred died trying
- Many protest for the wall to be taken down..... east Berlin tried to calm the situation by making passes for crossing easier to obtain ....thousands of citizens protested and demanded and forced the soldiers to open the gate..... the fled through the "iron curtain"
- They celebrated as some started to destroy the wall seperating there home ....... the wall was then taken down but not soon after the Soviet union fell and berlin was once again whole.
