- We write this bill to limit the king further and we want free elections.
- After King John tired to take all the power for himslef, the angry nobles wrote this document and made king John sign it. The Magna Carta was written in 1215. They wanted to limit the king's powers, laws and punishments be fair and equal, due processes and fair trials, and property rights.
- The pilgrims wrote this document in 1620 with the intent to set up some rules for everyone to follow, they tried to accomplish a self government.
- The Parliament wrote this document in 1689. The people wrote this to limit the kings power. They wanted free elections to parliament,the right to bear arms, to petition the government, and to fair trial, they also wanted no excessive bail or fines or cruel or unsual punishment.
