  • Well you have to be a natural born US citizen, at least 35 years old, and be a US resident for at least 14 years. If so great!
  • Primaries And Caucuses
  • We all have different opinions but some are similar. We'll split into parties based off similar opinions. We can be blue you can be red!
  • I agree!
  • That's a great idea! We can all campaign around the country and we can discuss and vote who the best candidate is to represent our parties!
  • Yeah!
  • National Conventions
  • Then the final nominees will select a running mate to be thier vice president.
  • Now lets hold a national convention for each party and decide the final presidential nominee for each party.
  • Yup! Then the presidential candidates (nominees) will campaign around the country to win the support of the general population!
  • Each president is required to meet the requirements of being a natural born US citizen, being at least 35 years old, and a US resident for at least 14 years

  • The people split into parties and campaign. The each pary disscusses and votes for who they want to represent thier party.
  • Electoral College
  • So how does this electoral college thing work
  • When people cast their vote, they are actually voting for a group of people called electors. The number of electors each state gets is equal to its total number of Senators and Representatives in Congress. A total of 538 electors form the Electoral College. Each elector casts one vote following the general election. The candidate with more than half (270) votes wins
  • There is a national convention to say who the final running candidate is for each party and they then campaign around the country to get people to vote for them.
  • Inauguration
  • I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office ofPresident of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend theConstitution of the United States.
  • The citizens vote for who they belive is the best for the job. The votes go to the electoral college.
  • Actually we are voting towards the electoral college
  • Each state has a certain amount of votes based on the state and there are 538 votes in total. The president with the most gets elected.
