  • What are you looking at sir?
  • I find interest in the combination of gas and dust pulled together by gravity making a big bright ball in the sky.
  • You see, when gas gains energy it explodes and creates atoms such as the one that made our sun!
  • I never knew that! Tell me more!
  • Why am I following this strange man..?
  • Let me tell you! After roughly a few billion years, the star becomes a red giant but the hydrogen runs out and then rearranges itself. This sequence is called a Planetary Nebula and it tends to take many billions of years.
  • That's neat! What happens after that?
  • Some time after the Planetary Nebula loses its' nuclear fuel, what is left of the star (which is the core of the star) is now called the White Dwarf Star.
  • Is that the end of the star?
  • Nope! Eventually after tens to hundreds of billions of years the white dwarf cools into a black dwarf, emitting no energy.
  • Well yes, that is part of the star cycle. The other part includes the big stars, but I must go!
  • So... That's how a star is made?
  • I have to go research stars as soon as I get home!
  • Maybe I should kidnap him...
