- In chapter 7, when Betsy was in 5th grade she had confidence in herself and she very self-centered. In grammar school she collected more Valentines and got the most phone calls. Also, since she wanted to play Snow White and she didn't, Shauna was the only person excluded from her birthday party. Peer Pressure reached Shauna so much that she burst into tears on stage and the curtain had to be lowered.
- We'll use my tape recorder! And we'll be able to plant voices anywhere we want.

- Lana was Mark's ex-girlfriend and last semester, when Mr. Griffin recognized one of mark's term papers as one he had read several years before when he was teaching the University of Albuquerque. Eventually Mr. Griffin failed Mark for cheating and he had re-take his class.

- This is at the College English Department which determined who had access to the file past papers. Also, Lana's father had had her transferred to a small college in the Southern part of the state. Since Lana was out of the picture, Betsy was secretly overjoyed.
- This is when Betsy completed her alibi which was to be at her house with Mark and Jeff. They were also eating cake and having really loud music. But one thing that affected her alibi was she was pulled over by a cop. When betsy's mother would get home, three dirty plates would be there testifying that 3 hungry teens spent the afternoon there.
- Betsy finally arrived at the place and while she was walking on the dirt path she saw that the Earth was scuffed and in places bushes were trampled and broken. There were also a lot of coins on the ground and she found a plastic bottle containing several pills. She finally saw the rest and she drew in her breath with a combination of shock and delight.
