  • Effect 1: Increased American nationalismAfter the War of 1812, Americans were so proud of their country that they managed to not lose to the British twice. The poem "The Star Spangled Banner" by Francis Scott Key boosted American patriotism even more. Some even believed that America could soon become a superpower on an equal level to the European powers.

  • Effect 2: Weakened Native American resistanceWIthout their leader Tecumseh to unite them together, the native alliance quickly collapsed. There were still a few conflicts with the natives after the War of 1812, but they were very small and were easily resolved.
