- Today we are going to talk about what you can do to protect the environment from oil spills.
- Thousands of birds are killed by oil spills and over 400 million gallons of oil spill into our oceans.
- Ways we can prevent this from happening is by reducing your use of fossil fuels and installing solar panels to rely less on oils
- In open water marine spills, you have to attempt to reduce impact on marine life. Since the oil is poisonous to the animals and it can cause them to die of hypothermia.
- If animals get affected by an oil spill, people try and help clean as many as animals they can in an attempt to save their lives.
