- Did you know that there are three distinct parts of messages?
- You mean the primary, secondary, and auxiliary messages?
- Let's begin with Primary message, it refers to the intentional content, both verbal and nonverbal. These are the words or ways you choose to express yourself and communicate your message.
- My friends, for example, have expressed an interest in seeing my new home. If I say come in, they'll probably assume I'm a disorganized person because my new house is messy. It also reflects my personality.

- The secondary messages carries verbal or non-verbal elements. However, they are mostly communicated unintentionally, Secondary messages are impressions we have that may lead to a person's own judgement of our character, such as our surroundings.

- Lastly, auxiliary messages are the manner in which a primary message is transmitted in both intentional and unintentional ways. This could include vocal intonation, gestures, and posture, as well as the rate at which you speak, all of which can affect how your message is interpreted or perceived.
- When we communicate orally, we frequently use hand gestures, change the tone of our voice, and other techniques, and we are unaware that we are already delivering an auxiliary message. So basically Auxiliary message is a combination of Primary and Secondary message.
