Hello. I am a physician. Today, I am giving a high school student a day in my life. First I woke up and got ready, now I'm off to the hospital!
Nice to meet you. Before we go inside let me explain a couple things about this job. I work almost always at a hospital, and to get this job, I went to school and got my doctoral degree.

This is the main office. During the first 30 minutes I'm here, I usually check paperwork and different information on the patients that are already here or have appointments today. I also eat breakfeast.

Great questions! I work about 40 hours a week in anywhere from 8-12 hour shifts. I get paid about $208,000 a year.
This is just one of the many rooms we have in the hospital. I spend my time in here taking care of patients.
That's amazing! I have a couple questions, how many hours do you work at a time? And how much are you getting paid for it?
This is the last area of the tour. I get lunch breaks in this cafeteria halfway through my shifts. This is the place where I can eat and relax.
