- our social roles are based on our gender and age.

- Us women stayed with children, cooked, made clothes, or were nurses. To fight in the war, we had to disguise as a man.

- During the revolution, the social activity was based on gender. Women like my mama cooked, cleaned, and tended to my siblings and I. Women could fight in the war if they disguised as a man. They could be nurses and farmers. My mama is a stay at home mom, my papa wanted that. My papa went to fight in a war. He was drafted. Men who were drafted must fight in the war. Men could farm, be involved with politics, and more. Men can do more than women can. I want to be a leader one day.
- Culture
- The leader for my country was Simon Bolivar for a while. He fought for our independence, and he helped out country a lot. We gained independence on August 19th, 1823. I was 3 years old then. Bolivar came back to us again when an earthquake happened. That was when he lost our love. He blamed it on gods punishment and left us to die. He spent money on useless items and unnecessary things that we didn't need to build up.
- Economy
- We will give you crops to survive.
- In return, we will give you money and a gateway to industrialization.
- We used the environment we had to build our home. We cleared forests to make villages, like mine. We also had to clear trees to make other important items, like beds, kitchen supplies, and more. My mama made a tool to chop up our vegetables. It took a very long time to make what we own and we are very proud of how far we've come.

- Art and music are both important parts of culture during this time. Mama loves art. she loves to paint pretty pictures for our home.We express ourselves through music. During this time, we would have gatherings to sing, kinds of concerts, and more. Many countries in Latin America celebrated themselves using art and music.
- We made art with canvases. Mama loves to paint.
- In 1830, my country and many more were challenged with merchant trade. The United States would trade their money for our important items such as soil, bananas, corn, wheat etc. It helped us with adaptation to a new system called economic status. It benefitted everybody. We worked to produce the items we trade. The United states wanted to industrialize our countries by giving us the idea of money, which would give us our economy.
- I was born during the Venezuelan war of independence. The Venezuelan war began on August 19th, 1810. I was 3 years old when it ended in 1823. Our leader at the time named Simon Bolivar fought for our independence and freed us from the grasp of the Spanish government.
