- Jackie held his anger inside and played hard. He led the league with a 349 batting average and won the league MVP award.
- In 1947 Jackie joined the Brooklyn Dodgers and became the first African America to play major league baseball. One more time his faced anger but he never fight back. That year Dodgers won the pennant and Jackie was named the Rookie of the year.
- He over next 10 years Jackie was one of the best baseball player in the major league, he has a career batting average of 311 hit, 137 home runs and 197 stolen bases!!!
- Jackie held his anger inside and played hard. He led the league with 349 batting average and won the league MVP award
- He continues playing sports in college too. After college Jackie went to play professional football but this came to a quick end with the start of World War 2.
- He was drafted into the army. He was sent to 761st Tank Battalion, is was only made up African American soldiers, because they not allowed to work alongside white soldiers. He left the army in 1944.
- After army Jackie started to play professional baseball for the Kansas City Monarchs. Monarchs were part of the Negro Baseball League. At this time black players not allowed to play in major league baseball.
- While Jackie playing for Monarchs he was asked to come play for the Brooklyn Dodger. He was told he would face all sort of racism. Jackie first went to the minor leagues for the Montreal Royals.
- Sometimes the others team wouldn't even show up for the game because Jackie, other time people would yell a him threaten him, throw thinks at him...
