- After WW1, everyone had to work really hard to make money. This money was for paying other countries for damages caused by fighting. This money is called reparations.
- This made a lot of people upset. Some people didn't like working so hard. Others thought it was unfair that their country took the blame for the war. Germany had to pay a ton of money.
- One soldier was really upset. So upset he decided to do something about it. He spoke out and gained followers. Other Germans liked what he was saying. He promised them things if he became leader. His name was Adolf Hitler.
- I will take the land they took form us back! We need it for ourselves.
- Hitler gained more and more followers. With this, he had power and became a leader. He wanted to invade and conquer other countries.
- HItler began invading other countries . Do that he used whatever measures to win. He used lots of violence. Other countries had warned him to stop, but he kept doing it. Until he invaded Poland
